About NIT Surathkal

NIT Surathkal, formerly known as Karnataka Regional Engineering College, was founded in 2002. (KREC). It is one of India’s thirty-two National Institutes of Technology, and the Government of India has designated it as an Institute of National Importance. The campus, which was founded by U.Srinivas Mallya and V.S Kudva, covers an area of 295 acres. In the NIRF Ranking 2021, NIT Surathkal is ranked 40th in the research category. With an overall score of 64.19/100, the university was ranked 10th in the Engineering category in the NIRF 2021 Ranking. It also ranked 32nd in the overall category in the NIRF 2020 Ranking.
