Scholarships For AMU Students
Beginners, sophomores, juniors, and seniors from the Arts, Science, Commerce, and Engineering streams at Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) who have at least 60 percent marks in each of their High School and Senior Secondary exams and family incomes of not more than Rs 2.50 lakh per annum can now empower their academic and career goals by removing financial barriers, thanks to the announcement of the ‘Sir Syed Higher Education Society, USA and the General Training and Placement Office of the university’s ‘Sir Syed Higher Education Society, and Bader Jehan Memorial Scholarships for on-campus education.
Students in the arts, sciences, business, and engineering majors are welcome to apply. Dr. Syed Masarrat Ali, Boston, USA-based moderator, announced that the scholarships will be given out for one year and might be renewed yearly if recipients maintain grades of at least 60 percent.
According to him, candidates would be chosen for interviews depending on their merits and needs.
As per AMU’s general training and placement officer, Saad Hameed: ‘Students can apply for these scholarships until March 30 by submitting a personal letter; bio-data with the details of parents and contact information, mark sheets of High School and Higher Secondary, and Income Certificate Affidavit as a personal statement through an email application.’
