About NIT Warangal

The Government of India (GOI) has said that the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Warangal is an institute of national importance. It is a public technology school. On October 10, 1959, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru laid the first stone for the institute. It used to be called a Regional Engineering College, but in 2002, it was changed to NIT Warangal. In the NIRF 2021 Ranking, the institute is ranked 23rd in the Engineering category and 59th overall. The campus of NIT Warangal is 256 acres in size. The National Institute of Technology Warangal is trying to get better at technology. It encourages effective ways to teach and focuses on the development of the institute as a whole.

NIT Warangal has 13 academic departments and a few research centres in engineering, science, humanities, and management. NIT Warangal is the best because it has facilities and infrastructure that are up-to-date and a good system for running things. The National Institute of Technology Warangal has an undergraduate programme called B.Tech, four graduate programmes called M.Tech, M.Sc., M.B.A., and M.C.A., and research programmes in engineering, the humanities, the sciences, and management. The Career Planning and Development Center at NIT Warangal is friendly with a lot of different companies. It helps the departments find jobs for students in their last year at well-known companies.


The National Institute of Technology Warangal is in Kazipet, which is in Warangal in the Indian state of Telangana. It is easy to get to by rail, road, and air. On National Highway 202 between Hyderabad and Warangal, it takes 2.5 hours to get to NIT Warangal. The airport closest to Warangal is Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, which is in Hyderabad. From there, you can take a train or a taxi to the NIT Warangal campus, which takes about 2.5 hours by car and 2 hours by train. There are train stations in Kazipet and Warangal, which are close by. From the campus, the Kazipet Railway Station is 3 km away and the Warangal Railway Station is 12 km away. Kazipet junction is the best one because many trains go through it.
