About JEE Main 2022

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the application form for JEE Main 2022 at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The JEE Main 2022 exam date and registration information have also been issued by the exam authority. On its official websites, jeemain.nta.nic.in and nta.ac.in, the announcement containing the JEE 2022 exam date has been released. In April and May of 2022, the NTA will hold two NTA JEE Mains exams. Registration for the NTA JEE Mains 2022 exam began on March 1. The deadline to submit a JEE Main application form for the year 2022 is March 31.

For both Paper 1 and 2, the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2022 will be conducted online in a three-hour period. NTA JEE Mains 2022 is open to students who have completed their 12th grade in 2021 and are preparing to take the exam in 2022. The NTA JEE Main 2022 qualification can only be achieved if aspirants study the whole JEE Main 2022 syllabus. From April 16 to 21 and May 24 to 29, according to jee-main-latest-news, the exam is scheduled. Examinees must also familiarise themselves with the JEE Mains 2022 syllabus and weightage in order to perform well in the test.

At jeemain.nta.nic.in, you can now apply directly for the IIT JEE 2022 exam. Candidates who plan to take the NTA JEE Main exam in 2022 must apply before the deadline. Before submitting the JEE Main application, it is recommended to examine the eligibility requirements. Each session of JEE Mains 2022 will have a distinct application form released by NTA. NTA JEE Main 2022 – Key points

  1. NTA JEE Main 2022 will be held in two sessions – April and May. While Paper-I will be administered during both sessions, Papers (2A & 2B) will be administered during the April session alone.
    The Number of Attempts: JEE Mains 2022 attempts are made twice a year.
  2. Thirteen regional languages: English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu will be the 13 regional languages used in the IIT JEE Main test.

What is the JEE Main Exam 2022?

The full name of JEE Main is Joint Entrance Exam Main (JEE Main). It is a computer-based test administered at the national level by the National Testing Agency (NTA). JEE Main 2022 is tentatively scheduled between April and May. The JEE Main exam consists of two papers.

JEE Main Paper 1 is conducted for admissions to B.E/B.Tech programmes at NITs, IIITs, and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), as well as institutions/universities funded/recognized by participant state governments. Eligibility for JEE Mains 2022

The official jee mains eligibility criteria 2022 and brochure have been released by the authorities. Before submitting an application for JEE Main 2022, prospective students should confirm that they meet the requirements for participation. Main Eligibility Requirements for the JEE Main 2022

Age limit for JEE Mains 2022In order to sit for the exam, there is no upper age limit.
Qualifying ExaminationCandidates must have completed 12th or equivalent in 2020 or 2021. JEE Main 2022 candidates who are currently enrolled in the 12th grade will also be eligible.
Subjects to be studied at the 10+2 level or higherCandidates must have taken at least five courses in order to be considered for the position. Among them are mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology, biotechnology, language, Technical Vocational Subject, as well as any other discipline.
12th percentage essential for JEE Mains 2022Admission requires a grade point average of at least 75% in the 12th grade. Minimum scores for BArch admissions are 50%.

Because of COVID-19, the requirement for 75% has been loosened the last two years. Eligible candidates were those who had achieved a grade of 12 or higher.
Number of attemptsOnly two appearances per year are allowed for all applicants. It is possible for students to take the JEE Main exam for a total of twelve times over the course of three years.

Steps to fill the JEE Main 2022 application form:

Step 1: JEE Main 2022 Registration – The first step is JEE Main registration.  Candidates have to enter personal, contact details, and security pin. Next, comes the JEE Main exam password and the security question followed by the answer. On successful registration, the NTA JEE Main application number is generated. Candidates must note this down.

Step 2: Fill JEE Main 2022 Application Form – After successfully completing the registration of JEE Main 2022, candidates must fill in other personal details and apply for – Paper I or II or both. In addition, they must enter 4 examination centers as per preference, educational details, additional details, and Parent’s income details.

Step 3: Upload Scanned Images  – The third step is to upload the scanned images of the photo, signature, and other certificates in the prescribed format and dimensions.

NOTE: If a candidate does not want to appear in any of the JEE Main 2022 sessions for which the fee has already been paid, it will be refunded by NTA. The candidate will have to make a request during the application form process of that IIT JEE Main 2022 session for which they want to withdraw.

Step 5: Print out of JEE Main Exam Confirmation Page: Once the JEE Mains 2022 application form is submitted, take printouts of the JEE Main 2022 confirmation page and keep it safe for future use. 

NOTE: It is necessary to note down the application number printed on the confirmation page.

Check JEE Main 2022 Payment Status –  Candidates may log in to see if their payment status is “OK”. Only then can they print the NTA JEE Main confirmation page. The following steps have to be followed if the payment status is not “OK”:

  • In case of online payment: This means that the transaction has been canceled. While the amount will be refunded automatically within 7 to 10 days, candidates have to pay the fees once again.

JEE Main Application Status – This is a window inside the JEE Main login of the candidate which gives the status of the application form as the candidate fills the same.

Remove Image Discrepancy – Candidates can make the correction in the image uploaded during JEE Main form correction. Candidates will have to use the JEE  Main login to remove any image discrepancy in the application form. They will have to upload the correct images in the prescribed format.

JEE Main Correction Window – NTA will provide JEE Main 2022 application form correction window after the completion of application process. Candidates will be able to edit any mistakes made in the details entered in their application form. Candidates who will opt for category change from reserved to general, will have to pay the difference in application fee through the various online means provided. However, in case of a change from general to reserved category, there will be no refund of the difference in fee.

Forgot Password or JEE Mains application number?

1. To reset the JEE Main 2022 password, click on the option given on the login window and choose one of the following options and rest the same after filling in the required information

  • Using Security Question & its Answer you have chosen during Form filling 
  • Using a verification code sent via text message (SMS) to your Registered Mobile No.
  • Using a reset link sent via Email to your Registered Email address

2. To retrieve the NTA JEE Main application number, candidates must click on the option for the same on the login window. They must enter the following details
